Re: The First Marina in Cambodia. Soon

The weather is good all year round. Strong winds and storms often. I've seen 2-3 times in 8 months. Hurricanes, no, I would ask the locals.
But in all the will of God

April is the hottest month, with the wet season starts in May until October, but it rains almost every day, but not critical. Conversely, even a good thing when rain. It is refreshing and the streets are clean. In Sihanoukville usually +29 +30 day
night 26-28.

The weather changes from year to year, apparently due to global change. Therefore it is difficult to predict the weather ..

In Sihanoukville is home to over 100 thousand people, many expats from different countries. Russian us about 500 people, many come family with young children. Thanks to President Putin.

Look at the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia or website of your embassy in Cambodia about the availability of e-visa online. It seems $ 25 for 30 days.

Re: The First Marina in Cambodia. Soon

Thank You. Good info. I am both drawn to that part of the world, and a bit hessitant due to the fact it is far far away...

I have looked into possibilities of buying a boat over there. Not too many choices as far as I can uncover. I am looking for a catamaran, and not quite ready to buy one in the US and sail it across the world. Think I'd rather start off there and sail there, live on the boat there, etc.

OZ, I might trouble you with some more questions. Thank you for your input. I hope you will keep us posted on your next visit there!

Mantula, those are pictures of some BIG fish~! There are always going to be delays, but you have a great plan. Keep on keeping on. {American expression} Anyway, I really like what I'm hearing and I look forward to updates.

No problem... Ask as many as you like :-D I am a massive fan of Snooky. Its what Bali was 30 years ago. No starbucks, no KFC.

Watch this video, it drags a little in parts, and not absolutely correct, but perfect to get a feel for the area. I stayed in the same hotel as him. $15 a night! Its to the right of screen at 2min 48sec.

Also keep an eye on Boatshed Phuket and Yacht-Broker Charters (langkawi) for boats. You would have to sail under malaysia to get to Cambo. But it would be a nice trip all the same around 1200-1400 miles of crusing.

Re: The First Marina in Cambodia. Soon

I will answer all in one message.

Web site not yet. While raw. Will be ready by the summer.

Market sales of yachts no charter either. Rather, there is an Australian yacht, they are trying to rent. Also there is a motor yacht for rent, but $ 2,000 a day ... you never want to have

I receive offers for the organization charter. While only intention.

Nearest marina in Pattaya (250 miles) and Singapore (500).

Unfortunately, construction delays. I thought that this winter will start to work. But now, in the summer.

Summer in Sihanoukville low season, prices are lower. Hotels are empty. 15-20 dollars you can book a big room with air conditioning, swimming pool, sea views, etc.

Is that because your IP address shows you are in Canada?

Currently marina is not already running. Everything is done for a long time.
MV Gunvor Maersk now comes to us with the equipment - floating pontoons, pedestals, etc.

To call in Sihanoukville until contact the agency company KOMSAB
