The locals win, it's their home turf.

I think tropical storm Lorena isn't going to be much by the time it gets up here. The current track has it going over land from Cabo San Lucas and exiting around Bahia de La Paz. That trip across and up the peninsula should take the teeth out of it. Definitely going to be buckets of rain, maybe some 50 knot gusts.

+ It cleans the deck and cabin tops quite well.
+ It looks like it's showing up Saturday morning so I can actually get started in it with a cup of coffee and a nice night's sleep.

- It will knock out the highway for a few days.
- Mosquitoes love rain.
- Can't run the watermaker for another week, again. Way too much particulates.
- Won't be any fresh fish. Panga guys don't go out and ruin their engines.

Zee and Rebel,

Stay out of the heavy stuff and enjoy the rain. I am so close to going down there I can taste it! I'll make it down when the hurricane season is just ending with the Baja-Haha group. Hope to run into you guys sometime.

Cheers, Bill

Ah, cool man. You going to La Paz, the mainland? Where are you headed?

Hey Rebel,

How'd you make out with the storm? I plan to use La Paz as a base of operations initially. Might cross your path anyway!

Cheers! Bill

Cool cool. Marina de La Paz is totally booked up already for the fall, not sure if you were trying to get into there but it's generally one of the more desirable locales. We spent a couple of months there, and a couple of months anchored in the bay near El Migote peninsula.

We're headed back there hopefully right before the HaHa guys show up and flood the place; maybe we'll run into you though. I want to get back there and score some stuff before we head back to the mainland.

Rebel,

I am second on the list for getting a slip at Marina De La Paz. They told me that I should get in no problem. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Cheers, Bill

Sounds like you're set then. I have one of their Internet cables, the best way to get Internet service is to have a cat5 cable with this weather shielding thing on it. If we get back to La Paz before you do, or we overlap, I'll drop it off in the office (or with Club Cruceros) and have them hold it for you. $30 you won't have to spend.
