Seattle - The New Baja?

Seattle set an official record of 103 degrees yesterday. 6 degrees over the previous record. Several surrounding areas recorded offical highs up to 108 degrees! We are considering changing the monetary denomination to the Pacific Peso. Rockfish will now be known as Cabrilla. Starbucks are being replaced with Corona Palapas.... more info as things progress..

Break out the sunglasses boys before you come visit the new Baja. It gets pretty bright out when we start taking our shirts off around here.

I think our weather was delivered to you by mistake. Could you send it back, please? We've had fog all week, and even a spot of drizzle yesterday. People are so grumpy here in Sausalito you'd think you were in Seattle. It's 60 degrees (F) as I write this, and I'm having to wear a fleece sitting here at the nav station.

It seems people like to complain about any unusually hot, cold, rainy, smoggy, snowy weather. It's summer, get over it.We have hot summers sometimes, other times we have no summer. The more concrete they pour and greenspace they (we?) tear up the hotter it will get.Don't you earthlings understand how you affect your surrounding climate.Start up that air conditioner(via generator)that will help, haha.People need to take responsibility for their actions. Before you know it summer will be over, and the winter weather complaining will start.

I was enjoying the nice cool autumn weather yesterday: nice break from the 35º C mind numbing heat.

Hey Tareua - I thought the people from Seattle were just like us from Oregon. There is not often enough sun to tan well, but we rust nicely.....

True story -- several years ago we were visiting with a friend in late February/early March. Our friend had a daughter who was two and a half or three at the time. We're out for a walk when a sun break came through the clouds. It got the girls attention and she squints, points up at it and says to her mother, "Mommy, what's that! It hurts!"

Preventing rust

The local beer does not prevent rust, either. That requires Imports of quality spirits.

But it sure tastes good, and has the proper spirit, too!
