San Francisco - Opening Day

Opening day on the bay will be April 25 this year... Its a Sunday.. we'll be heading down to China Camp friday and saturday..
Anyone care to join us on the Beach for a little B B Q and swapping lies on Saturday afternoon..
Thinking about taking the week off and sailing down to Half Moon Bay for some Clam Chowder also...
Half Moon Bay is a great trip for a first time out the gate, if you're interested, you're welcome to follow me down..

Charlie, I know your boat is in Mexico, but you might think of comming down off that mountain and getting a little salt air in your nose........

Sounds like a good idea Randy. I may be bringing Ohana back to SD at that time. Otherwise I would be up for it.

Hmmm... Penciled it in and will see if it works out for us... We were unable to make the last one, a year or two ago.

spent the day cleaning out the boat and getting ready for sunday. my nails are just a mess!

test drove the new outboard yesterday and we look good to go with our baggy old sails and bright new cockpit cushions ; -)

We would love to make it to china beach but that's a far stretch so we will have to see if we get time and wind to get there.

who all is planning on being there Saturday afternoon/evening at this point?

yeah, we were planning to anchor at china beach this past weekend, but ran out of wind a good mile shy of the Richmond/San Rafael bridge. Fortunately, Paradise Cay was open for business.

VALIS will be out on the bay. First, we're getting line to be blessed, in three different denominations, too -- hey, it can't hurt! (Actually, it's a pretty moving experience.)

After that, we're going to wander around, perhaps anchoring for lunch. From 2:00 to 2:30 we will be running the Pacific Cup Radio Check Net (SSB). Actually, anyone is welcome to give us a call. We've got a boat in Oregon helping out too. Here's a link the details: Radio Check - April 25 (Opening Day) | Pacific Cup
