Philippines - Port of Legaspi

Hello,

A friend and I are planning to sail from Tokyo, Japan to the Philippines roughly a year from now. I read in "World Cruising Routes" that it is possible to clear in at the port of Legaspi, however I couldn't find any other sources to verify this. Has anyone had any experience here or suggestions as to where you would check in to the Philippines coming from Japan?

Cheers!

Thank you Paul. Yeah, I noticed that as well. Is it possible it isn't on Noonsite but still a viable option? I don't mean to sound sassy, just asking, honestly.

I saw on the Cruisers Wiki it is also listed as a port of entry.

Anyone been here before?

You probably could do entry clearances there, but given that it is not a regular yacht entry point.... your taking risks and it is also an East Coast exposure to weather.

Have made the trip 6 times and the practical route would be Late March departure via seto Naikai, down west coast Kyushu, Okinawa Chain, east or west coast of Taiwan to Subic Bay (depending on Weather)

I made that trip once nonstop with total 3 crew and it was very doable.

If not in a hurry, so many amazing places to visit in southern Japan
