Re: Oregon getting a wee wet..

Parts of Santa Cruz County (North end of the Monterey Bay) have had as much as 15 inches of rain in 5 days!
I think that this is being done by those crazy pot-smoking left wing radicals in an effort to promote their silly little climate change agenda!

Nothing that unusual up here. Need colder weather for more snow. Remember one year where it stormed for 90 days straight. Sends a few people back to California. Nice here today. Sunny and calm.

I resemble that remark. At least we have the good sense to legalize the stuff and have the LEOs do something more useful, like deal with their addiction to donuts

For you on the islands in the Columbia, does the river ever flood, covering your islands? I was going to buy land on Puget Island, now I am not so sure...

Re: Oregon getting a wee wet..

It was fine Thursday at the marina on Hayden Island except for high water and floating debris.

It's been interesting up on Mt Hood with power outages. The freezing level is above 3000 ft, I'm sitting at 2400 and the saturated soil is not only prone to landslides, but earlier in the week trees were falling on cabins and over Highway 26 above Rhody. One tree landed on a car in front of me Monday evening. The wind let up and the ZigZag River is down considerably from earlier in the week. It's still raining steadily and the National Weather Service issued an extreme winter weather alert for today (Saturday) through Sunday.

I can see the low areas being flooded on Puget Island. The water is high here, but not yet over the Fisher Island, near Longview.
