Well, and I just googled Orakei .. no liveaboards.

Max 48 hours consecutively on the boat, so not good it you're planning to stay for a month or a season.

Interested in this thread because the Admiral and I are in the early planning stages of perhaps maybe organizing ourselves to get a nice 35-footer and live aboard in Auckland in the summer. And in Toronto in the summer ... the other summer.

Wouldn't mind hearing recommendations about places one can do that.

Re-read my earlier posts.

In summary from Opua (BOI) to Auckland:

Opua (I do not recommend), Whangarei... both Town Basin & Madsen Pt (Comme ci, comme ça), Gulf Harbour (OK, but still too far from Auckland with lousy traffic congestion between GH & Auckland, does have a ferry to Akld, but only 2x/day), Bayswater & West Harbour (no way Jose), Westhaven (would be my first choice), near Pier 21 (I wouldn't, too noisy & busy) Half Moon Bay (not too bad, but some distance out of Akld).

End of Story!

I doubt it ... as I have a definite preference towards "stacked" brunettes, followed by brunettes in general (Hope the PC brigade doesn't get offended by my forthright honesty )
