Re: NYE in Brissie

We're currently in Moreton bay, haven't decided where we'll be for NYE yet, but probably not far away.

Is it worth going up the river for the fireworks? I get the impression the river would be even more crowded than Sydney harbour. Certainly there are fewer good anchoring spots.

Yep, will be spending Xmas/New Years at home on Bribie Island....the last two years at this time was spent at sea (work) so looking forward to it......

Won't be heading into Brissie tho, we have our own fireworks and it's not as crowded....plus we can see the Bissie ones from the beach here...

Re: NYE in Brissie

I assume all the power boaters and trailer sailors will be in front of SouthBank. We will anchor somewhere between the Captain Cook and Story Bridges. Still plenty of space left to anchor there with some other yachtie mates that came across the Pacific this season.

Anyway, if any of you are around, please feel free to dinghy over and say Gday.

We need to haul out soon for some serious TLC and I am sure you know the local scene much better than us nowadays. And I would be interested to check out your Honda 20s, CC-44!
