Long term Visa for French Polynesia

This is only to ask about a Long Term Visa. I have been flying in and out of French Polynesia to continue to crew with the boat I have been on for 2 1/2 years. He is French and I American. Just interested in replies from sailors who have gone through the process. I am going to the NYC consultant. My main question is about health insurance. Any suggestions on which to go with.
Second once I have the long term visa do I still need proof of an exit flight

Re: Long term Visa for French Polynesia

I do not have the answers to your questions. How about contacting: Le Consulat General de France a Los Angeles, 10390 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025; (310) 235-3200. The French Govt. is responsible for issuing the short and long-term visas for visitors of French Polynesia/French Dependencies. Another contact is: Air Tahiti Nui <noo-e>, Attn: Customer Relations, 1970 E. Grand Ave., Suite 100, El Segundo, CA 90245; (855) 835-9286. Let us know what you found out! Good luck!

Re: Long term Visa for French Polynesia

Hi Delilah, For our long stay visa, DAN insurance (divers alert network) worked for us and is (relatively) cheap. Livia
