Just snapped this picture from up on the hill here, for anyone interested in the area. In the far distance out there is Puerto Vallarta. The closest water has the anchorage and the marina.

Wow. Far far more boats than 4 years ago. Hope that goofy marina has figured out how to make friends and money rather than bewilder the people with money. Is it still Raphael "in charge"?

Yeah, he goes by "rafi" now.

All in all it's one of the better run marinas I've ever seen. The policies are tight where they need to be and lax where they don't. The anchorage, as you can there, is packed with boats right now. The marina itself is filled to the brim too.

He hired a couple of people to run things day to day. Rafi shows his face every few days when there's something big going on business wise, but otherwise you'll never see him.
