Insurance for French Polynesia LS Visa

Skymed is $89/month for both of us, which is expensive. Had anyone used anything cheaper to meet the requirements for a LS visa in French Polynesia?

Yes we use and have used DAN Diver insurance. But have recent reports if applying at the French Embassy in the US they won’t accept it. Do not know why since the visa app goes to Papeete anyway. If your applying outside the US like Panama, Ecuador, etc they all accept DAN. Linda has renewed her visa 3x’s times using this insurance policy.
