Re: i2f in Panama . . . Again !

Thanks for the well wishes. I was up at 4am wondering how Imagine is doing sitting there waiting for us. I am waiting on a cab now to take us to the ferry to Tabago where she waits. We should have the internet in a couple of days. I will drop a message of what I find, and any progress made.......i2f

Re: i2f in Panama . . . Again !

Glad to hear you are on the go again. Missed you in Panama, but hopefully you will catch up to us in Hawaii.

If I had to do it over again, I would go up the coast to Costa Rica, then out at 9 degrees north till longitude 110 west. There wasn't much wind offshore until then, and you get some land and sea breezes along the coast. It took us 29 days Balboa to Hilo.

we left some fish for you...caught a blue marlin off Panama, but it was too big to get in the boat.

Re: i2f in Panama . . . Again !

Thanks again, I have been watching the weather. I have figured if it stays the same that would be the way to go, up the coast a bit........i2f

Re: i2f in Panama . . . Again !

We are actually activating the Spot right now. It covers most of the way to hawaii, and then it covers Hawaii. For now there are engine issues being overcome, so we can move from Taboga to the anchorage in Las Brisas..........i2f

Re: i2f in Panama . . . Again !

Just got back from a month out.

I have thought of you often and am glad to hear that you are OK. I don't know what your malady was though.

Best of luck.

How dirty is your bottom? (not the one poked and probed).

Re: i2f in Panama . . . Again !

John and Mel! This is great news.

I'm so glad you're finally on your way (or soon will be), although we will miss having a get together in Florida this year.

We're still in west Florida, ready to get going south within the next few weeks.

I'm looking forward to following your progress.

Cheers

John and Mel, glad things have worked out, and your back with Imagine. Hope the prep goes well, and a safe sail to Hawaii.

My best,
Bob

Re: i2f in Panama . . . Again !

Well, it's about friggin' time, John! All that slacking off while Mel's been working away! Heading down to LA in a week with my windvane strapped to my roof. Good to know there'll be a big cat in Hawaii to use as a stopping mechanism when I come in under full sail!
Seriously, good to hear you're moving forward again. How long are you going to stay in Hawaii before heading to SF?

Fantastic news John….. I have a feeling this will be one of your best sails ever… once you unshackle the dross of Panama dock rats and fly free
