Cheap sailing paradise
Hi,
I've 3 months free from December, with very limited budget, i was looking for a beautiful warm destination at the sea where is possible to sail in beautiful seas.
Any suggestions? I fly from Italy and i was thinking Thailand

Re: Cheap sailing paradise
I would think this to be a great conversation. Hmm perhaps it will pick up.

Depends what you mean by limited budget. Do you want to buy a boat, charter a boat or just crew on a boat?

Re: Cheap sailing paradise
I don’t think you can get a 3 month tourist visa for Thailand but possibly you still can for Malaysia, Langkawi is a good destination.

Well, that looks like a possibility. Good luck with it! Can you get a 3 mo. visa from/for Vietnam? Make sure you find out about when/where to activate the visa.

I read that Vietnam isn't a sailing friendly country, I'll figure it out when i fly there,it's anyway a wonderful place to visit.
With italian passport i assume the short term visa isn't a problem

Re: Cheap sailing paradise
I have friends currently sailing slowly from Indonesia to Borneo. Italian/English couple.
They often have visitors sail with them. Some people are experienced sailors, some have never sailed before. People are constantly joining and leaving the boat.
They have a Youtube channel called Sailing NV.
I met them initially as they need crew for an ocean passage when they first bought their yacht. They’re great fun.
If you’re interested pm me and I’ll respond with contact details.

Shouldn't you be telling how it went. Hasn't December 23 already passed, or am I missing something.
What about the Philippines?

Yes, I thought that also, was wondering if you knew something I didn't. From what I understand you can only do "full service" sailing there.
Back to Thailand, have a look at these guys in Phuket
https://phuketwatersportscentre.com/...rs-only-trips/
They have "members trips" where you share a boat and can do a couple of days for quite a low price. Good location, lots of warm and spectacular scenery.
Perhaps an OK way to get on the water there, assume you are coming by yourself so charter may not be appropriate.
https://sailinasia.com/ is same organization, more focused on sailing certification.
