I agree with the port of Astoria. Hard Standing is a real good deal there. You can also look at storing your boat in the Napa Valley Marina if you want to get further south. I can recommend these places from experience and they were both fantastic.

Actually, yes, if you could get through the sea lion infestation. Check out the pictures of the sea lions layers deep on the docks at Astoria. Fair stinkum!

Maybe there's hard stand storage somewhere in the SF Delta? SailorChic34 might know, a PM to her, it's an area with which she is familiar.

Cruise Port Marina in Ensenada, Mexico has good monthly rates and it would be as safe there as anywhere. Here is a link to their Rates page:

If you get down to SD you could possibly get a mooring. Its not dry storage and all but it is in your budget. Temp moorings cost $225 a month and if you were able to get assigned a "full time" mooring it would be around $140 a month most likely.

Assuming you get a "full time" mooring ($140/ month) you may be able to get someone or some company to look after your boat while on the mooring for the rest of the $10/foot budget. I honestly have no idea what this kind of "boat baby sitting" costs or what you get for the costs but it may be worth looking into if you're running out of options.
