Can I change crew in Galapagos?

I would be grateful for up to date information on the possibility of making crew changes in the Galapagos. I have 2010 information that it was possible, but later information that it is not!

I look forward to your informed guidance!

Thanks in advance

Paul

I believe if you set it up with the agent you use to obtain your Autografo beforehand it should be pretty straight forward.

As long as the departing crew has sufficient funds/ticket out of the islands.. Yes..

I had no problem doing it in 2014, but it was all planned ahead. My wife arrived in Galapagos on a one-way air ticket but she had a letter from boat owner saying she was joining the boat.

My daughter also joined the boat for a few weeks in the Galapagos and I had no problem adding her to the papers. Better said, I had no problem in addition to the usual Latin American bureaucracy.

Cheers

Re: Can I change crew in Galapagos?

Paul,

I recently had friends (without a boat) fly into the Galapagos and they said the airfares were eye-watering.

So dont do anything stupid like offer to pay your changing crews plane tickets!

BTW We absolutely adored the Galapagos. You will too.
