Yet one more Logbook

Hi,

For anybody interested in a (very) detailed excel logbook that gives the opportunity to automate certain counters/entries attached what I (together with extended web search) ended up with.

Comments as well as specific ideas on how to improve it invited.

Christos,
Thanks for sharing. Looks good overall.

A bit more than the typical logbook w/the addition of the maintenance schedule, etc.
Very detailed daily log entries and seems like a lot of more info input compared to our handwritten log.
Good job!!

Must have missed that plugin and didn't know that it was there.

What would be really nice would be to be able to turn on an automatic data entry on a specified interval (e.g. on the hour) for position, course, wind direction, etc. when one has the full suite of electronics setup.

Does this exist?

Any instrumentation connected to OpenCPN can be recorded automatically by time interval, WP arrival, change of course and numerous other events.

Non instrument data like what sails you have up must be entered manually.

See instructions on how to set up and use here:

Sorry ctsaligo didn't intend to hijack the tread. But no point in re-inventing the wheel.

Sorry ctsaligo didn't intend to hijack the tread. But no point in re-inventing the wheel.

Great was hoping so since most of the nav. info is embedded in the individual track.

Will need to set the logbook up to see how well it functions.

Re: Yet one more Logbook

I forgot to mention for paper addicts (like me) pages can be printed blank.

(My handwriting is awful...that is the first reason behind this..the formulas where an afterr thought)
