Re: Yachtworld, what's happening?

Yeah. There are options. But again, the fact that you have to dig out those options is clear proof that the website is BAD! It is just STUPID that it is that complicated to do a search!

Re: Yachtworld, what's happening?

As I said before, I just wanted to find the reason for not being able to locate a specific boat on Yachtworld, using the YW number—which you would think should be the most direct method of all.
From the response it’s pretty obvious that it's now not so easy—for buyers. But what about sellers? If I was a seller, using a broker who posted on Yachtworld, I would have serious questions about how prospective buyers were supposed to find my boat.
So are there brokers on this forum who can attest to the veracity, or otherwise, of Yachtworld’s once dominance in the market?

Re: Yachtworld, what's happening?

A "work around" solution to perform an "advanced search" on yachtworld:

Go to: yachtworld.co.uk NOT yachtworld.com

You'll see a notification that this page is not available. Ignore it.

Click on the blue box with 3 bars in the upper left hand corner of the page.

Select "Advanced Search". Works just like the old U.S. version.

I sent messages to YachtWorld several times complaining that the "advanced search" function had disappeared. Never got a response. Perhaps they want us to look at more boats to raise their traffic count? VERY inconvenient.

Their app was really bad too. I got rid of it and just use the web-site in my phone. Agree that they obviously are not spending a bunch on developers.
