Re: Wonderful Cruising Lifestyle Video

I went to his blog which ends abruptly in 2012. Has he moved on to another social platform or what?

In the old blog (blogspot place), there is nothing about him having sailed around the world, all video locations look Caribbean'ish too.

So has he or hasn't he?

On the side note, his video shooting and production are indeed very smooth here. I wish I had his film making skills!

Thx for sharing!

Sorry to say, I watched it, but I was left asking myself...

What was with the title?

I mean, nice bit of video making, some lovely scenery, and really high production values but I didn't get the impression he had " Quit His Job, Restored a Boat and Sailed Around the World."

I thought the title should have read something like...

"He has a boat. He went shopping. He cooked some food."

You know, a title that actually reflects the content. The whole thing reeked of those click-bait leaders you see everywhere on that face-tube thingy. I must be getting old and cranky. But thanks for posting the link, aside from the b.s. title, I enjoyed the video.

Matt

I watched this a while ago it's pretty cool. Wish I'd done something similar when I was younger. Damn wife and kids...!

Sorry honey...! Please stop hitting me...

I'll get my chance soon, she tells me.

yeah, it's a great video. He sure has a good attitude for it too. I have found a little more on youtube about him since first seeing this video, and it looks like he found a cruising mate. This to me explains what Karma may mean to those who carry themselves like him!

Re: Wonderful Cruising Lifestyle Video

I watched that video more than a year ago, and as others have noted, good production. It appears that he sailed on, and off, the Net.

Not a bad short viddy, yet this one (link below) is still my all-time favorite. No Delos / Vagabond "look how hippy we are" nonsense, and no GPS. Just pure sailing beyond the west horizon.

Pretty nice videos... quite a production on the first.. he wasn't alone on his boat!
Can I share one I came across? It is just a slide show, but seems to capture a good bit of the feel for me too...

Thanks to John Dilworth for that one

Re: Wonderful Cruising Lifestyle Video

I watched it a few months ago, I thought the guy sailing is the one putting up the video. But when I checked out the youtube page, it seems to not be.

The youtube channel has more life-changing type videos and the sailing one is just a one off story. So we probably wont see many more of him than this.

Oh, what happened to interupt the adventure?

I just thought the video was nicely filmed and captured the essence of the cruising experience.

I thought the same thing, it looks as though he hasn't left the same island to go anywhere, never mind around the world.

Yea, I agree Matt. As I mentioned previously it does not appear he left his one and only island.

There is more and more BS being posted on you tube, I wish the owners would find a way to scan the titles for accuracy and delete the junk.
