Re: Wonderful Cruising Lifestyle Video

There must be at least 10k sailing videos on the net. Some are really good, most are "selfies" and of no interest(like the one posted on this thread in the beginning), and some a just gawd awful.

Re: Wonderful Cruising Lifestyle Video

Well, there will always be cynics amongst us, and people with jaded views of life - and sailing. But for those (including Ken, who started this thread), who have contributed their favourites, I say thank you. I am sure many of us have discovered videos we were not aware of, and will enjoy the experiences of others.

For me and my First Mate, we enjoy the whole thing - the sailing, the adventure - and the romance of quiet anchorages, and special dawns.
Life is what you make it, and perhaps - just perhaps, we will put ourselves out there one day on YouTube for others to share and enjoy - or criticise, as they see fit.

To all I say, keep the adventures and videos coming, whether yours or others. Life can be great, and sharing is part of that greatness!

Is there someone forcing you to watch them?

You can't please everyone.

You could walk around all day handing out $20 bills, and eventually you'll run into someone who'll bitch it's not a $50.

I agree.....There is also a nice little video of Lin and Larry Pardey talking about the Hiscocks.....quite interesting.

They were paid, I think by the BBC, to film this cruise. They were given a camera and thousands of feet of film. Just about ALL the film was used in this production, which goes to show what a great job they did in their work And it was work...they've said filming and cruising are TWO different things....of course they found time for both.

Interesting tid bit is that NONE of their boats had a double berth. Lin was very curious about this and was bold enough to ask why.
