'Winter' Flotilla season?

Hi guys,
So I'm currently part way through a great flotilla season working in Greece, and would like to carry on with future flotilla work. So where are the 'winter' flotilla seasons? I.e. Nov- march?
Ideally I will be able to find work to bridge this 5month gap, and ideally it will be somewhere where obtaining a visa isn't too much of an issue (I'm a Brit!)

All info and advice welcome

Re: 'Winter' flotilla season?

Hey mate

I worked in Thailand for the winter season as an instructor. Not sure if you have the qualification but a great season. Not much chartering or flotilla work though. The Caribbean is the place but your unlikely to get a sunsail gig as they go to the sunsail guys who worked the med season.

You can always head to Palma at the end of the season and get a delivery to the Caribbean and do a racing gig. HARD to get into but awesome fun!!

Good Luck

Luke

Re: 'Winter' flotilla season?

Cheers Luke, i bet Thailand was fun, I'd imagine its hard to get work over there without actually going out first, am i right?
This is why I'm thinking about some of the larger UK/US companies that may be able to offer me a job before I leave, although granted if it comes to it I will happly get out there first and look for work if I need to.
I'm also thinking about potencial work in the Canaries, not requiring and visa makes it a simpler option too, although granted it would be winter. But even then I'd definately enjoy some yard work being an engineer.

Time to have a think
