Well B26, I may just have to try it.
I just can't get excited over a tiny smartphone screen though (I have an LG Android model), like my girls do.
Even if I put on my seldom used glasses it wouldn't come close to my 32" main teevee (which is tiny by today's standards, my ex just got a 60 incher LED when her 40"something CRT went kaput, yikes).
I suppose I ought to get a mid-size tablet, it's past time; I was seriously looking at them years ago to cobble a nav app, but they weren't ready for primetime then.
I've admired tech advances forever, since I began in the middle of it all in the mid 1960's, and today's stuff still impresses the he!! outta me. My toddler grandkids run rings around a touchscreen compared to my big ol' mitts though .

Re: Will Oracle Remain Alive or Will It End Today?
We're getting it live on DirecTV channel 220.
It's awesome on a 60" HDTV.

Live coverage on NBCSN tomorrow at 1:00 PT/4:00 ET.
I have ATT U-verse. It's on channel 640 or 1640 if you have HD.

Good point.
I was in Wallyworld last week looking at a cable that was a mini jack to (IIRC) RCA composite jacks, and thinking, hmmm, could I actually use this thing, or would it end up in the box with lots of other cables and adapters? Guess I should zip back there mañana.
My teevee is a decade old CRT with RCA inputs (along with my 2 VCR's, heh), it may have other input types but I wouldn't know. The phone does Bluetooth too, which is cool, but the boobtoob pre-dates that.
I don't watch it that much, so there's no way I buy satellite, and cable doesn't exist here.
My kids and ex come by and think they're in a timewarp, or archaeological dig ; hey both my boats are older than they are .

Unbelievable! Great teamwork on and off the boat. The crew members, engineers, and support staff all had their hands in the way this all transpired. One more time!

Re: Will Oracle Remain Alive or Will It End Today?
You guys are absolutely right!
New Zealanders should be very proud who ever wins the cup.
So I will be first to say it....CONGRATULATIONS NEW ZEALAND!!!!!
If the americans do win with only one american on board, then have they really won or was it just american money that won?
I can't imagine the pride and sense of accomplishment every New Zealander is feeling today.

Actually I was kind of wondering that myself.
I am sure that Oracle has had very good info about the boat speed and crew potential of the Kiwi boat. Did they know that they had it in the bag from day one? Is it possible that they had planned all along to build the tension and make this a storybook race? Big gamble but a bigger pay-off.
Every extra day means a lot of $$$$.
Now it has all the right ingredients for a major motion picture.

No, they weren't sandbagging. The whole thing would have been over a few days ago when ETNZ was ahead and would have won if that race didn't go over the time limit and get called off..
Oracle simply got up to race speed during the first races. They figured their boat out. Learn to tack it better and foil better, plus call better tacks. (tactician change)
ETNZ got up to race speed during the LV Cup which is why they looked so good at first.

Let's not be too quick to judge JK.
He was calling tactics in a boat that was much slower than Oracle is now.
Not sure if BA would have done much better.

You are right. I was just listing some stuff.
I do remember a couple of his tack calls though when they were ahead that I didn't like which seemed a bit more suitable for monohull racing, and caused them to lose the lead. But maybe Kosteki thought he had to take drastic action even while ahead becasue ETNZ was so fast in those early races.
I should have also said that ETNZ was race ready in the first few races against Oracle whereas Oracle wasn't sharp yet.
Same thing happened in 2007 with Alinghi coming out a bit rusty against ETNZ. But you didn't have two races a day in that regatta plus a 2 point penalty to deal with.
