I am impressed!!! I windsurf over a small 3 ft caribbean reef shark, I went striaght for shore, I figured his mom or dad would be near by! did not go back in!

truly, never have heard in this part of the world, any household pet on board being attacked by any animal (shark, baracudas, or gigantic Pelicans?) but I imagine it can happen under the extreme right circumstances, just like shark human attacks, most of the time its just the right circumstances, or wrong ones as you may see fit.

I see more accident on dock, than I do at sea....
