In part to a major accident on our 1800 acre lake this spring, Branched Oak Lake is now a 5mph lake to Motor boats at sunset to daylight.

This is a major piece of good news for those of us that want a little quieter and safer place to sail.

I have a 19' powerboat with a 150 hp engine, as well as my 32 ketch, but I would never speed across a lake I could not see across. That is just dumb.

A power boat peeled the top clean off a Catilina 26 this spring. No loss of life, but a bunch of hurting people that are still mending. Drunk boater that also has 2 DWI's.

Speed limits won't cure stupid, but it may help.
W.I.B. Crealock when asked what he thought of the easily trailerable Clipper Marine sailboats by a naval design collegue, Gentelman Bill responded, "I am very proud of them". &
