What Ocean is best to cross?
With my new (to me) boat?
Santa was kind to me this year - well I think so!, £500 bought me some bills - the only question is how many / how much. Lol.
17 foot of Silhouette MK2, designed in the 50's and originally built in plywood. This one ("Ariel") was built in the 1960's and one of the first all GRP versions (hull and deck - no core!). Another triple keeler that can sit in the local mud!
I will be floating around the local bay this summer. After that who knows........
Note to self: finish off the Seadog 30 at some point.....my annual new years resolution!

Congratulations!
Cross the Ocean(s) that separates you from you destination(s).

Re: What Ocean is best to cross?
Why limit yourself to crossing just one?
Congrats!

Re: What Ocean is best to cross?
Thanks folks.
The adventures start now....
....plan A is to use the Seadog as my occasional / weekend living accomadation inside the harbour - the silhouette will sit on a swinging and tidal mooring outside for sunny sails and afternoon snoozes.....at least until the wheel of life turns (yet!) again, and then who knows where the seadog will go?
A note to folks with longterm dreams on sailing over the horizon - especially those new to boats.....don't put all your dreams on the future, life has a habit of going sideways. My dreams never involved boats or long distance sailing - but nonetheless life still played silly beggars with my dreams. Grrrrr.
Grab a large chunk of NOW!, whether boat related or not. Tommorow ain't always as planned.......

Re: What Ocean is best to cross?
Why did the cruising sailor cross the ocean...?
... to get to the other tide.
