Re: What is your favorite item in your Galley?

+1 on the lingerie bags for the fridge. We bought a 10-pack on Amazon and use them for lots of things (not just in the fridge).

While it uses a bit of the battery, we wouldn't be without our electric drip coffee maker and toaster. The toaster stores nicely inside the microwave.

A small but nice tip is silicone baking sheets. About 10 by 15 in or so. I'm told the size is called a half sheet cake. In addition to one that is used in the oven, we have two or three permanently laying around the galley counters. They provide significant non skid. They also protect the counters.

A net hammock over the galley holds large fragile things like chips and fruit.

Dog bowls! They have a rubber base which keeps them in place. Absolutely fabulous when at sea.

Super sharp, NSF-rated paring knives - https://www.webstaurantstore.com/cho...KWPARSM35.html
We use them for *everything* - steaks, limes, pineapples, mangoes, whatever! Commercial quality for great price. Also got a filet knife this style for cleaning any fish we catch

MAGNA barbeque - when it's warm, cooking outside is a must! Started with the basic rail-mount running on the green canisters, then converted to hook it into the boat's propane tanks, and got the front mount cutting board/shelf. It's awesome and looks great, even after 8 years in Mexico.
https://www.bbqguys.com/magma-grills...-grill-a10-803

Really good quality, non-stick fry pan - I would pay more for 1 good quality larger pan than getting a set.

Insulated cups - a la Yeti. In this case, bigger is better I like the 30 oz ones. 1 must be a Yeti koozie for keeping the beers (or sodas for teetotalers) cold.

Lime Squeezer - as I said, we are cruising in Mexico.

Overall - you need a lot less than you think. We only have 1 little drawer of utensils, dinner plates, bowls, coffee mugs, glasses (for wine ). Drink cups & shot glasses come & go all the time.

Have fun outfitting the boat!!

100% agree! Greatly lowers cook times - saves on fuel and heat in the cabin.

We have as high quality equipment as practical for a small race boat. That said: the pressure cooker tops the list.

A Boaties boat pan. We got one of these a couple of years ago. They pricey but great - we ordered the lid too.

Boaties Fry Pan

Since it is square in shape it doesn't take up too much space on a hob, it fits in a small locker, and the lip is good for pouring out food.

They also have one with a detachable handle for use in the oven.

We have a new boat this year and I am interested in what other people use in their galley, as we want to outfit ours.

2 Best items in our galley are our Airfryer and Insta Pot. Both are used more than the stove. Our Galley is almost 8 feet long so we have space that may be lacking for some others, but don't be a hater. The Insta pot is my favorite.

I have Corelle dishes they are sturdy and thin so they store in less space. For drinkware, I use Tervis tumblers for cold drinks, regular coffee mugs, and insulated SS Go-cups. I use SS silverware.

I'd have to say my Steam Pan Plus. Makes perfect eggs every time, easy pancakes. Steam any fish or veggies simply. It's truly my favorite!
