What is the Smallest Boat That You Would Sail Outside of Coastal Waters?

A Cal 20 is the smallest boat to have completed the SingleHanded TranPac SHTP Race from San Francisco to Hawaii which is around 2100 miles.

then there were quite a few other boats around 24' that completed it most running large sails and spinnakers. Others include a Bristol 27 and an Albin Vega 27.

I was just aboard a Vancouver 27 that's on its way from the Carribean to Vancouver, CA with a solo skipper. This boat has everything I'd need to sail around the world non stop. Storage was amazing with lockers, etc everywhere. Boat had more usable space than my Pearson 35 and more sea berths. Wish I'd known about these boats when I was looking for a new boat. Definitelty a stout vessel for sailing anywhere.
