What ever happened to Active Captain?

Active captain works fine with Aquamap, I just checked comments I added in 2019, still there.Also new comments for Jan 2021. Recently,in central Vermont,I have been using it to record my track while snowshoeing in the woods.!

This topic keeps coming up. AC still works it is just more touble to update it. But it is still important for people to make an effort. Right now I am in an anchorage in the Bahamas. Last AC review says Terrible hold, the one just before says great holding. The turth is both are correct, but it matters where you drop the anchor (i dragged it the first time). Should i write a better review as the ones i read didnt really explain it well? Or should i just say screw everyone?

I agree with you if garmin wants people to contribute to their database they should pay
What cruisers really need is a crowd sorced app
And everybody must be the owner of the app so it cannot be sold like AC was

You could try opencpn and squiddio plugin which is similar but opensource
