Weaver Davits for a hard dinghy on a sailboat?

Excellent, excellent points! Especially about the exhaust. I never considered that. I need to be sure the dinghy doesn't interfere with the exhaust, or worse, direct fumes into the cockpit.

Just FYI, if you leave your dink in the water overnight attached to the Weaver davits, the wave action will cause the dinghy-mounted brackets to bang around inside the receiving brackets -- not so good for a nights sleep.
