Waterworld Boat for Sale

Well I remember reading in one of the threads here someone mentioned he would like to have the boat Kevin Costner used in waterworld, seek no further just found the following ad :-)

http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...orrellimelvin&

Have absolutely no connection to broker, seller or Kevin Costner.

Where's the deck mounted harpoon gun and telescoping mast?

Re: waterworld boat for sale

Not for me... not enough "comfy space" either above or below deck. Still, for those who like to race I suspect it is a good boat because it is not weighed down with lots of "stuff"

Re: waterworld boat for sale

Specs looked strange to me, 200hp Volvo engine. Seems most boats that size would not have that much horse power, but what do I know my Seawind has two 9.9 Yamaha outboards.

Re: waterworld boat for sale

Doesn't really look like it did in the movie. And I have to agree, 200hp on a "racing" tri? That sounds ridiculously wrong.

On the other hand, though, maybe they put the 200hp motor in it for the movie, so that it could accelerate impressively on demand.

Re: waterworld boat for sale

I thought the boat was noisy and floppy even on a flat day.

Tempted, but I'm not sure the Admiral would go for the accomodations...

Maybe harpoons, Jeanne and even Costner are available options..

On a completely unrelated topic just saw pics of the new gunboat 60 'fault tolerant' it's EPIC.

Wonder if they need a ship's boy or a butler :-)

Re: Waterworld Boat for Sale

If anyone is flying into San Diego, the boat is located across the street from Lindbergh Field, on Harbor Island and visible from Spanish Landing. You can also see a variety of other unusual trimarans on the end ties.

I like what looks like a bicycle seat at the nav table. Perhaps you have to pedal to power the GPS.

Not even a sea berth? Is there demand for 60' short course tri's?
