Currently, 21 countries are on the U.S. "Do Not Travel" list [level 4], including Afghanistan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo,
Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Mali, Myanmar [Burma], North
Korea,
Russia,
Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria,
Ukraine,
Venezuela, and Yemen.
The State Department also issues advisories with lower risk levels, for other countries, such as "Reconsider Travel" [Level 3] or "Exercise Increased Caution" [Level 2]
