Ha ha ha ha ha.
Oh I know , there is a PECULIAR set of people that simply want to fly their flags , attitudes and idealogies in your face.

It is really true. The trick is not to draw some false equivalence between the people who maintain their identity (in you face if you want to see it that way): ie., I am Gay, I am straight, I am Latinx, I am African American, with those who want to force everyone to deal with their "views", political, economic, homophobic, xenophobic whatever. Although, perhaps the worst of it is that often the second groups' "views" -- are not so much chosen (like we normally think of "viewpoints") but rather are manifestations of underlying conditions that those espousing them rarely recognize.

A little tolerance . . .. But that too seems to be a dangerous view these days.

Apparently I'm of a generation of males which was raised to be "male chauvinist pigs" and feel absolutely no urge to demonstrate it.

Congrats on the introspection, just remember that this thread wasn't about you. Neither was my comment. You'll get there.

Re: Transgender and cruising?

The OP has gone on to other pursuits that don't include cruising. May as well close the thread as there's nothing relevant here any longer.

Was it about anything?

It was more self deprecation than introspection, MCPs are seldom naval gazers. But take it as you will.

Re: Transgender and cruising?

In the spirit of inclusiveness, Indonesia have now made out-of marriage sex a jail-able crime.

This will apply to Indonesians AND NON-CITIZENS.

I wonder how many other countries have this law? Will they enforce it with zeal? Only with a complaint?

Next we shall see one eyed peglegs, with a parrot, outlawed. Arrrrrr.

The human desire to nose into other peoples lives continues to run amok. !0,000 years of failed efforts to legislate nebulous and random morals have consistently proven a failure. What a miserable species.

We’ll be good not to have to witness sex outside a pub on Friday night gets tiring fast

There are still statutes on the books for this in a number of states and they may become enforceable again if Lawrence v. Texas is overturned as appears increasingly likely.

The usual list is Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Utah, but there have been several recent efforts to repeal these statutes and the list may now be shorter:

https://www.salon.com/2019/05/06/adu...off-the-books/

Prosecutions in the USA have been rare since the 1960s but not unheard of. Historically most prosecutions were racially motivated or involved the wife of a powerful person.

Hard to find jury members who have never engaged in the proscribed conduct, which complicates prosecutions.
