T-mobile in USVI info desired

For me AT&T has worked very well in and around USVI, particularly St. John where I spend considerable time.

I'm considering a change to T-mobile for use in Mexico but they aren't very optimistic about their data service in USVI.

If anyone has experience with a smart phone (particularly an iPhone or iPad) in USVI I'd much appreciate hearing results, experiences or opinions.

T-Mobile is terrible in the USVI! We had AT&T for many years and only switched to T-Mobile because of their Global Access plan with unlimited text and data in over 140 countries! Apparently it was a mistype in the plan; it is actually unavailable text and date...

We will be switching back to AT&T and we'll just buy a data plan as we cruise through the islands.
