SW Florida Recommendations (Request)

41' Island Packet? Stay on the Atlantic side or at least keep your boat there. Less worries about depth. Not saying you can't keep it on the Gulf side but have looked at this issue myself in the past.

SW Florida Recommendations (Request)

East coast, Martin County - jump off to Bahamas, hi speed coastal trains north and south, traditional South east FL on the Atlantic

And keep it to yourself as I am going down there in less than 3 years

Key Largo bay likely to be first to be new mooring field | News | KeysNet

Just ran into this posting on Gulf side Key Largo anchorage-to-be. Its too shallow for us at 5-6 feet but looks well protected. Just S. of Buttonwood Bay.

Re: SW Florida Recommendations (Request)

We live in Naples and keep our sailboat on Marco Island. We are very happy here and live here year around. You are going to have a hard time finding a house here where you can keep your boat in the back yard, with in your budget, but if you don't mind a 10 minute drive to your boat then this could be a great place for you. Marco Island has slips in floating dock Marina's for $350.00 mo or so. I love Naples, as it is very beutiful, and despite what some think, friendly. The realestate here is starting climb in value so I would also recomend visiting during the summer when the best values can be found. During the winter (In Season) there seems to be almost a feeding frenzy mentality that any reasonably priced house or condo is sold quickly.
