Surveyor in Genoa Italy/ Onw who travels from UK

Hi All,

I apologies if this has been posted already but i have not been able to see anything specifically for this are when looking on the older forums.

I am looking for a reliable qualified surveyor who speaks english, preferably in Genoa, Italy or nearby.

Alternately a Good surveyor in the UK who would fly down (direct flights from London at my expense is no problem)

Any recommendations, or ideas would be much appreciated!

Also should mention the type of boat - its an Elan 434 impression. (44 ft sailing yacht 2005 approx)

Hello! This is my first post too.
We have just purchased a Beneteau 393 in Italy and was recommended to use Sacha Giannini. Although mainly written in Italian, the survey was extremely thorough, and was fairly easy to translate using google translate. If all else fails you could try - email sacha.giannini@tiscali.it

I have been working with a surveyor in Devon recently…
Great guy to work with…Understood my needs perfectly… Fastidious and attention to the details...
He conducted 'walk-through' surveys on three boats for me, prior to to me travelling from Las Palmas. I closed on one of the boats last week, following his full survey
I would thoroughly recommend him…

We have just purchased a 49' in Livorno. Our surveyor was Davide Zerbinati, based in 26020 Crotta d'Adda, cell +39 3482477243. He charged€1000 + TVA. Report was in English. He was very thorough and approachable.

Zerbinati is Aldo a boat designer, possibly a ship builder, and had a number of nautical gear on sale via web.

He is quite fastidious for any agent/seller, and very go/no-go in his assessments

Never done business with Zerbinati but he's the most well reputed in Italian largest sailing forum ( amicidellavela.it)
