Superstitions?

Hello all,

I was wondering about what colors you can and cannot paint your boat. I did not belive in most of the superstitions, untill the one boat I changed the name on blew up and burt down to the water!! Now a few boats later, I have a catalina 30 with the name chapter two, and I dont like it much, but oh well Im not going to take the chance. But any-who dose any one know about colors, I love the boat but the beige-brown color isent fitting.

We have hull number thirteen, boought the boat new in 1979. Our docks were wrecked in a micro burst a few years ago and many boats were damaged and or sank. Our boat did not get one scratch, we have never had anything that might resemble bad luck with this boat. The hull is white with a green waterline stripe and a green sheer stripe. The name is Maarire or Gently and it has never been changed. I do not believe in superstitions ( touch wood ) BC Mike C

Do not paint the hull yellow....Bad luck will follow if ya do.
