Meanwhile, I did some more googling and I found where they say the worst of the surge is in the right forward quadrant.

So as the storm is now expected to sort of roll along the coast this may mean there will be only moderate surge in the more Southern locations and much more of it in the more N locations where it may land too. It all does not look good though: the system will re-build and strengthen once over the gulf stream (water there is about 28 degs right now).

So it is as in your pictures.

Looking at Florida cams now. You can already feel it coming.

Bundle up and tie down, then sip your rum or gin and ... wait.

Fingers crossed for a happy ending. Eyes on the trackers.

I envy you but not to the point of swapping places ;-)

Well high tides are at 1am and 1:49pm Friday for Ponce Inlet when the eye of the storm may be overhead. If we do get 6 feet it will top the pilings at our marina. Here is hoping for some luck, otherwise the boat is going on a unintended voyage.
