Re: Spinnaker Weight? .75 oz or 1.5 oz

I have a .75 for very light wind (under 10 knots) and the foot is about the length of the boat. Then a 1.5 with a smaller foot (about 60% of boat length) for heavier wind up to 15 knots. Anything over 15 knots, fly the genoa.
Hence, the lighter, bigger sail takes little effort to keep inflated. The heavier, smaller sail takes more wind to keep inflated but stays inflated with heavier wind. It depends on the wind strength. Just my two cents. I am not an expert, just my thoughts.
