Southwest Boat Show Houston March 21st

Hi,
Has anyone been to this show? It is about 200 miles away from me and as some one looking to find a cruising boat and learn about what's available I am thinking of going.

Unless you are wanting to buy a fishing boat, not really worth the time. They will have a Hunter of some flavor on display as well as a Beneteau and that is most likely it for sailboats. A good place to pick up nautical themed t-shirts and drink coozies, that is about it.

I've been a couple of times. Last year they had at least 3 catamarans, I really liked the Leopard. There were Catalinas, Hunters, Beneteaus and used boats. This is not a large show like Miami or Annapolis but they are trying. Yes you can look at fishing boats and get your coozies but for Texas, it's a pretty good show.

I think this show (in it's current configuration) has been around for two years. The first year was a little lean, but last year was much better. Many sailing type vendors. i.e. anchors, hardware, etc. Hope this year is even better.
