Re: Sometimes I Want to Be Alone !

Can you do a blown glass pack on a generator exhaust that you can switch to? Then whenever you see boats come in to the anchorage you could just fire up your super loud genny that sounds like a Harley, as soon as they go away you can switch back to regular exhaust mode.
I'm always entertained by mandatory rafting in marinas. I always tell them "sure, you can raft to me, if you don't care about your boat". Our freeboard is so high that our diesel heater exhaust would melt a hole in most boats, not to mention things like the bilge pump outlet being above deck height for most boats, thus pumping my bilge water all over their decks. I have yet to have anyone go ahead and raft up when I point these things out...

Re: Sometimes I Want to Be Alone !

Flying the blue flag or lite @ nite does mean owner is not aboard. It is how we invited our friends over (party time!) when the owner was absent in the days I ran the large motor yachts, so it may be counter-productive to your needs. It was usually in tandem w/ a white lite (under a spreader) which meant "owner having dinner" which may work better for your needs, but I know of no day mark for that one.
What a shame having such an attractive, interesting boat.
Can you tell me who designed her, what wood is she......? Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Bash,
I can roll my boat, but only halfway...
