SoCal Haul Out

I am looking for a yard where I can have a boat hauled out, put on stands and then work on her myself. Probably long term, a year or more. I am particularly interested in Orange County or Los Angeles. Any suggestions?

I would look at one of the yards in Wilmington. That is sort of a junky area and prices are much less than the tonier areas.

I know of two yards that seem to have boats up on stands long term in the pricier areas- the yard at Alamitos Bay (uses a lifting table, not a Travelift) and one near Sunset Aquatics in Huntington Beach. Prices are similar to slip rental. Both seem to allow DIY.

If you can venture further south give Driscoll in Mission Bay a call.

You can try Ventura Harbor Boat Yard http://www.vhby.com/ -they might give you a long term rate.

you can go to san diego boat movers-- in santee-- they have along term haul yard-- haul at yard of your --or their choice, have the boat hauled into inland desert yard and you can work on her allll ye want. is only place i know of anymore for long term haul and do your own work. good luck. the yards on the water are very very pricey..
