Thanks for the the suggestion. The surveyor, who honestly might be the most professional person I've worked with in years, brought in his own mechanic and is also running an oil analysis. I'm doing my best to be diligent.

Hey Reedy.. Congratulations..
When I bought my Bene331 Moorings threw in a brand new set of Doyle sails as a sweetener.. the existing sails were only 5yrs old and barely used being an ex-BVI charter.
I bought two large dry bags for them and stored them under the V-berth.. two years later when the boat was sold they were pulled out and inspected they were absolutely perfect condition.
In your case store them at home.. need one.. get it shipped out to you.

Congrats on you new boat .
We are in Punta Gorda and sail to the keys alot .
We are on a trip the 24th and getting back to Punta Gorda on March 31st.
We also have a trip scheduled may 28th to June the 4th
May be will catch you on some of that sail
