I've been sailing a lot for about 6 or 7 years (sailing at least once or twice a week on my own
boat,
crewing some deliveries here and there, and chartering in the
Caribbean and Bahamas). I've taken almost all the
ASA courses (101, 103, 104, 105, 106, 108, and 114). I was considering working to get my six-pack
license and looking for
work in the
Caribbean - possibly the USVI's. I was wondering if there are many
work opportunities for someone starting out with this
license (either chartering, doing deliveries, etc.), or is the Caribbean saturated with captains, making it difficult to find work? Thoughts?
Thanks!
Steve
