Short Story

I have an odd request for the members of this forum. If this is unacceptable, then feel free to delete my post.

Anyway, I have just completed the rough draft for a short story in which sailing is a major theme. However, I am someone who has never stepped foot on a sailboat. This is a problem when trying to write from the perspective of a veteran sailor.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading my 5000k rough draft and helping me correct the inconsistencies. I am not asking for proof reading, just your help with keeping my sailing portions authentic.

The story is only a first draft, so do not expect anything spectacular.

There is some mature subject matter (violence).

Thanks for your time.

Re: Short Story

Thank God! I read "Sail" by James Patterson and wondered if he had even ever seen a sailboat in person. Shoot me a pm if you want another set of eyes on it.

Thanks everyone. I'll send you all a copy when I get home from work. Please be kind though, it is a first draft!
