Occasionally there are extraordinary deals that pop up across the internet, ones of particular interest to the cruising/sailing community.

As an example, West Marine recently had a "Buy One, Get One Free" sale on Lewmar winches. Many folks that rarely browse the WM site due to their generally exorbitant pricing would have missed it.

Yeah this keeps popping up in various forms in various threads... good DIY stuff and sailing on a shoestring... . I think there may be a good social group possibility here too to bring various threads together.... Working on it.

Thank you - I had originally posted a direct link, but a moderator immediately went in and edited my post to remove it (and bastardize my formatting). She said it appeared I was marketing on behalf of the company.

At any rate, the price seems to have gone up significantly since then.
