Just spent the weekend up in Seattle at the boat show with the wife, kids, and dog. Saying hi to a lot of friends/acquaintances, and passed about 100 cards for my USCG delivery and instruction business.
I always think that the best part of the show is on the side lines, were vendors show new products and technology.
You might want to think about broadcasting the fact that you were promoting your business at the show without registering as a vendor. It goes on a lot, but the Boat Show people don't appreciate it.
I am a contractor of sorts, and most everybody I talked to didn't mind talking with me. Just cause you are a vendor at a tradeshow does not mean you always have to have a booth. I used to work at HP and we would walk the floors of technology trade shows all the time and not have a booth present. What is the difference .....
