About the same. It has to do more with the swell frequency and the general displacement characteristics of the boat.

Personally I think everyone can get seasick if the conditions are right. Let me hold you upside in a diesel soaked bilge while we bob around on a windless day smacking back and forth. Oh, and be hungover.

You'll puke.

Seasick? Try opening that "Simple Green" cleaner when you got to clean up some grundge in the head, after a nasty "Jaegermeister" hangover.

Re: Sea Sickness Survey: Monohull vs. Multihull -- No Speculation

I just called my girlfriend over to the computer to get her take on Sea Sickness.
I personally do not get sick on either Mono or Multi.

She got sick on our Catalina 30 and Catalina 380 both mono's, but never on our Mahe 36 Cat.
She said that the rolling is what makes her Sea Sick

But it's all personal, everyone is different.
After reading the thread this seems to say it all. It's interesting how there isn't one trigger. The only times I've felt queasy have involved a hangover and it has been beneath decks.

It was, now belongs to an Australian couple. My wife would get sick, had to take stugeron for the first day or two but I can hang upside down in an engine room smelling diesel in any conditions. Very lucky in that respect.

Re: Sea Sickness Survey: Monohull vs. Multihull -- No Speculation

I seem to be the other way around - have never been sick on monos, power or sail. However, on a Lagoon 410, I did feel woozy when doing a delivery in choppy seas... I think it was the short, sharp jerking motion that did it.
