Sailing school on Long island NY

Looking for anyone who has recommendations or experience with learning to sail on Long island. There are several schools but cant find any reviews. Hope this is the best section to post. I have been a power boater for years but realized my place is on a sailboat. Ideally looking to do a couple (or more) of the weekend classes to get the ability to sail, then buy a boat and get more private lessons on my boat. Wife will be joining me for all of the classes and want to get my 11 yr old involved at some point.

Where on long island are you? There is the Oakcliff Sailing Center in Oyster Bay.
