Doing a two year circumnavigation will be rush. If you want to see the world (and not the water) you need at least 4 years.

When we returned from our 4 year circumnavigation (finishing the circle in Trinidad), we picked up a freak bounced radio signal from two boats that we had been friends with when we left Trinidad. They had just recently left Trinidad and most of the way to Panama.

They were talking about how our circumnavigation was too fast. We broke into the conversation and laughingly chided them for being critical. "We have kids that need to be back in school", we explained.

Its now been now almost 10 years since our return and I will be starting a second circumavigation this fall. But, this time I am alloting at least 5 years.

So, if you can, try to budget in more time.
