Re: Sailboat Seized with Guns in Tulum, Mexico

Kids might be better off, even in Mexican foster care. I'm not a big fan of tattoos in general, but something is off when you tattoo your face. I'd like to see what she looks like.

Many companies make a civilian semi-only version of the AK-47. Just because it is a "real" AK does not mean it's fully auto. AK-47 is a model of gun, not a brand.

I feel real sorry for the child and child to be. He looks like a jailbird was probably going to sell or trade guns for food fuel, etc. No passports, I can't figure that out. Keep those kids in your prayers.

Re: Sailboat Seized with Guns in Tulum, Mexico

One could think this is just a gun nut on a vacation with his family. It looks to me like there was a different purpose to his trip.

Let's wait and see what the US authorities will find out about his background, associations, and outstanding warrants, if any.

BINGO!

Every time there is any discussion of legal issues on this board (and, for that matter, every other board I've ever seen), there will be a whole bunch of people weighing in with what amounts to "Who cares? Just keep it quiet and you'll never get caught."

We see this all the time, whether the discussion is guns, Americans visiting Cuba, registration requirements, working without a permit, or whatever. All the time.

Well, obviously, sometimes people DO get caught. And the consequences can be extremely severe. It would behoove us all to remember that the next time someone is suggesting that we shouldn't worry about breaking the law just because "no one ever gets caught."

I put them in the same category as drug runners, they asked for it and they got it.

This chap sounds like one who often said something like "the only way they will get my guns is to pry them from my cold dead fingers".

If so, he was wrong!

Sympathy for the child, possibly for the woman, none for the guy.

Cheers,

Jim
