Rigging a hammock; advice needed!

Spinaker pole method works the best for me. Air-Chair / Hammock Chair is on the rear arch. Great for sittiing while sailing, reading and keeping watch.

I release my forestay and tie between mast and headstay (cutter rig). Since I have hanked on sails I just attach the forward end to the stay and halyard for adjusting height. See avatar.

I do find that a line tied between the port and starboard lifelines just below the hammock is useful for grabbing to damp the swinging resulting from power boat wakes. That may not be needed for catamarans though.

Spreader bars are a matter of preference, and I prefer to not have them. I find it much more comfortable without the forced flatness. It's a little difficult to explain, but sitting in a free-form hammock at a slight angle doesn't lift the lower leg and put pressure on the knee. YMMV

I use plain old cord sash (we used this also to tie off large deadheads--floating timbers--at the marina I worked at); I would advise that you spread the load with several wraps of the cord on the forestay if you have a furling headsail so it doesn't put a crinkle in your jib.

I made a strap that looks like a horse's girth band out of trucker tiedown strap, and put canvas on it about 6" wide. It has triangle rings on teh ends. This spreads the load over the headsail. I think ATN or someone makes a device like it for your A-Spinaker tack.
